the giant ancaster worksHop

We have a dedicated team of experienced mechanics who are here to make sure your bicycle is performing at its best. We offer three levels of service packages depending on you and your bikes needs or we can also carry out individual jobs where a full service package is not needed. Our shop is packed with the latest and highest quality tools and we will happily service any make and model of bike whether purchased from Giant Ancaster or elsewhere. Estimates are always free and we try our best to give estimates over the phone if this is more convenient. Our workshop is fully equipped to carry out specialist jobs such as wheel building, custom bike builds, and Shimano Di2 software updates.

Due to the complexity e-bikes bring and the support needed to properly service them we only offer service to Giant, Liv, or Momentum branded e-bikes or Shimano STEPS equipped bicycles.

Lube chain with Muc-off Dry Lube

what can i do to maintain my bike at home?

Keeping your bike clean, your chain lubricated, and your tires inflated are a few simple things to help keep your bike running smooth in between services.

When we clean our bikes we can focus on individual parts for inspection and we may be able notice potential issues before they become big problems.

Tune-up checks everything, front to back.

how often do i need a full tune-up?

A yearly tune-up is the best practice for most cyclists.  Having an experienced service tech go over your bike from front to back will give you piece of mind that it is safe to ride and that everything from nuts and bolts, gears and brakes, and the tires have been inspected. This leaves just one thing for you to do ... enjoy the ride.

Man crashing a mountain bike.

What should I do after a crash?

It is very important after a crash to have your bike fully checked out to make sure it is safe to ride and nothing is damaged.  It is very common for parts to get knocked or bent and gears to start acting up after a crash and we want to get these issues addressed before we cause more damage.

Remember to always replace your helmet after a crash that resulted in you hitting your head as well.

E-bike diagnostic tool

do you service all e-bikes?

We only offer service to Giant, Liv, and Momentum branded e-bikes or ones equipped with the Shimano STEPs system.  E-bikes often bring an added complexity to the repair process and often times specialized tools and processes are required to complete the service properly.  If you are bringing your e-bike to us for service please remember to bring a key to remove the battery if needed.

How long does service take?

Service turn around time varies depending on the time of year and if we need to order parts or accessories for your repair.  We try our best to limit the amount of time you are off your bike but despite our best efforts when the beautiful spring weather hits we sometimes still get behind.  If timing is a concern please don't hesitate to call the shop to see what the current wait times are. Otherwise just bring the bike in when it is convenient and we will book you into the next available time slot.
